OUR 2025 PROGRAMS – Celebrating our 50th Anniversary!
About MLQ Programs and Events
- We offer 10 program meetings each year with expert speakers, classes, workshops, and Show & Tell.
- We meet for our Monthly programs on the third Friday of each month, except June, July, August, and December.
PLEASE NOTE: There may be months where scheduling changes happen and are beyond our control. Always check the programs schedule for up-to-date changes. - Our June and December meetings are held on the second Friday
- In July and August we do NOT meet for a program meeting—workshops are often offered instead.
- Also note that we meet in person at the Tredyffrin Library for our Bee (“Sew What“) — a totally separate meeting — on the first Friday of each month, all year long. (Note that in 2025, due to the Independence Day holiday, “Sew What” will be on July 18th.)

New members are always welcome, visit our Membership page for details
Guests are welcome to attend monthly meetings. When we meet in person, simply pay the $5.00 guest donation at the door. When we meet via zoom, a link to register by using PayPal or a credit card for the $5.00 guest donation is presented with that meeting’s description.
About Event Formats/Venues

- In person at Tredyffrin Library
- Strictly via Zoom. Note that for Zoom meetings ‘Show and Tell’ will be a slideshow. All images of members’ quilts must be emailed to Rosemary by Wednesday before the meeting.

Along the way, you’ll really hone your design skills, which you’ll apply to everything you do. I’ll share lots of ways to combine weavings, quilt and finish the edges of your fabulous, orginal piece after the class ends.

Libby Cerullo – Digital Textile Artist
“Quilted Narratives in Culture”
Libby Cerullo of Elverson PA creates art quilts with strong figurative elements–inspired by trees and the natural elements. She will talk about her artistic influences and how her personal journey transformed her neighborhood trees into a series called, “Portraits of Women as Trees.” The series explores identity, relationships and, most recently, is looking outwards to contemporary culture.
In “Portraits,” Libby prints digital images on cotton and adds layers of transparent organza plus stitch. In a visually different series, she uses staged digital images that capture a record of human form and culture through the action of the natural elements, versus the hand of man. These pieces are also stitched and sometimes embellished.

Lois Mease “Color Confidence for Quilters”
Color Confidence for Quilters
Created by Shannon Brinkley, taught by Lois Mease
In this program, quilters will learn about hue, color harmony, and balance. We’ll
explore the science of color and the art of trusting our intuitive inner artist. We
will do several exercises that will literally train our eyes to distinguish subtle
differences in color, value, and saturation.
This program is practical, concrete, and fun. It is appropriate for quilters who have
no idea how to use a color wheel and only trust themselves to use precuts. It is
also helpful for quilters with a great eye for color who are looking to create more
interesting, dynamic palettes and develop a signature style. And it will be good
for everyone in between!
Students will learn:
-Color Theory basics
-How to use a color wheel to choose fabrics
-Classic Color Palettes
-How to use hues and values to make your
quilts interesting
-The key role tone plays, and how to use
saturation and clarity to pair fabrics beautifully
-How to use contrast and harmony to create a balanced quilt
It is helpful for students to have a Color Wheel or Color Tool.
