The Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza is the largest and most prominent quilting arts event in the Northeast all under one roof. The quilt competition features wonderful entries from throughout the nation. Entries to the competition include traditional and innovative quilts. The exhibits of the Extravaganza will offer over six hundred quilts and garments presented in gallery style as well as more than two hundred vendor booths offering everything from completed quilts and garments to all the supplies and equipment used in making them.

Courthouse Quilters Guild Quilt Show

Courthouse Quilters Guild of Hunterdon County, NJ is having our biennial quilt show October 1-3 at the Prallsville Mills in Stockton, NJ. The mill is located on Route 29 in Stockton, NJ — close to Flemington, NJ and the New Hope, PA area. Admission will be $7 (a portion benefits the Delaware River Mill Society). The show will be open from 10AM to 5PM all three days. Over 200 traditional, contemporary and children’s quilts made by guild members will be on display at the historic mill. Raffle tickets for our intricately pieced 83″ x 96″ raffle quilt, “Chinese Fireworks” will be available for purchase at the show. There will be many quilt-related vendors, and art & handcraft boutique, door prizes, quilt demonstrations and a mini-quilt raffle.

> We will feature a special exhibit of the guild’s community outreach projects, Bras for a Cause — an exhibit of art bras made by guild members to benefit breast cancer patients at the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center; ConKerr Cancer: A Case for Smiles — cheerful pillowcases made for ConKerr Cancer benefit seriously ill children dealing with life altering illnesses, and Storybook Quilts — the guild’s traveling collection of storybook and related quilts highly sought after by local school libraries to aid in their elementary age programs. The mission of Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens is to preserve natural, tranquil woodlands for community enjoyment, to show case native plants and a world class collection of rhododendrons and azaleas, and to promote environmental horticulture through learning, research and conservation.
